American Projectiles provides Federal Firearms License (FFL) transfer services for firearms purchased from online retailers or other dealers.
If you purchase a firearm online, the seller can ship the firearm to American Projectiles in Pleasant Hill, Missouri, where we will complete the required background check and transfer the firearm to you in compliance with federal and state law.
American Projectiles serves customers throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area and surrounding Missouri communities.
Transfer Fee
$30 Firearm Transfer
American Projectiles charges $30 for standard firearm transfers.
This fee covers the administrative handling of the firearm transfer and completion of the required federal paperwork.
How a Firearm Transfer Works
1. Purchase Your Firearm
Purchase your firearm from the retailer of your choice and select American Projectiles as your transferring dealer.
If the seller requires a copy of our FFL, contact us and we will provide the necessary information.
2. Firearm Shipment
The seller ships the firearm to American Projectiles.
Once the firearm arrives, we will contact you to schedule an appointment.
3. Background Check and Paperwork
When you arrive for your appointment, we will complete the required ATF Form 4473 and conduct the background check.
4. Take Possession of Your Firearm
After the background check is approved, you may take possession of your firearm.
Transfer Policy
The $30 firearm transfer fee is non-refundable once the transfer process has begun, including situations where the purchaser does not pass the required background check.
